When stuffing your doll or ornie, place a little dab or fragrance oil of choice on a cotton ball and place the scented cotton ball in the middle with your stuffing.  The scent will last a fairly long time.   Or when you coffee or tea stain your doll, place a little bit of vanilla extract or a little fragrance oil in with your staining mixture and brush on doll for a wonderful lasting scent.  One question I seem to run across all the time is how to rust safety pins.  I like to mix one bottle of peroxide, 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of salt in a large plastic margarine container.  Place your safetypins or other metal objects in the solutions and using a plastic spoon, make sure that all items are in the solutions soaking really well.  Within an hour your items should be rusting along pretty good.  When they get to the right rusty look you are aiming for, take them out and pat them dry on a layer of paper towel.  Then place in a ziplock bag to store for future use.  Please discard of the solution per your municipal codes. I don't recommend placing down drain.
